Warm Up: Take 40% of 80 without a calculator

• Pick up the percentages packet and get a red Algebra 1 book for your table.
• Have out your homework for me to grade.

Goals:
• Check your answers with the board. Mark the questions you missed. I will answer a few before we begin today’s work.

• Practice:

• In the Algebra 1 book, read and review the examples on p. 160-161. Copy the examples and any bold text into your notebook for future reference and studying.

• Practice: p. 162-163 #1-47

HW: Finish the practice work. No work – No credit. I will take a grade on it Monday

Reminder: Your quiz is on Tuesday.

• Timed Portion: The addition and subtraction portion will be timed - you will have to complete 20 questions in 4 minutes. The multiplication and division portion will be timed - you will have to complete 30 questions in 3 minutes.

• You will have the rest of the period to finish the remaining part of the quiz. Some questions will be just numerical operations, and some will be word problems. Topics include:
